Rollercoaster

Life with this disease has been a rollercoaster from the start. This week has been no different.

We started on a low; my blood platelet count is down so chemotherapy got postponed. This might be for the best though since I found out we should have 10-14 days between chemo and PET scan. So at least I can go ahead with the scan on Monday.

Some Highs:

We reached £5,000. This is fantastic and we have been really surprised and somewhat humbled by where some of this has come from. We had a donation in from California from an old friend of Bev's. We had a lovely donation from a single mum in Birmingham. We also heard from an old golf pro friend in Germany who gave a half day of lessons fees.

A couple of great fundraising challenges:

We've also been in the press today. Radio Hereford and Worcester did a great job this morning, not only covering our campaign but wider PC issues. Take a listen.

and BBC Midlands Today have just covered the story too.
